What’s all this talk of Fast and Furious being like Watergate?? That’s absurd!! Some key differences:
–F&F has led to numerous deaths, most likely many more that we won’t ever hear of. Watergate didn’t harm anyone, but it involved burglary, which is a felony in most places.
–Watergate break-in investigation had nearly unanimous, bipartisan support, but the investigation of F&F is nothing more than “election year politics” (I hope Border Patrol Agent Terry’s family understands).
–Watergate investigation revealed a cover-up that led to the resignation of a President. But there is NO WAY the F&F “witch hunt” could find any wrongdoing or negligence, so a cover-up is totally justified.
Clearly anyone who thinks Fast and Furious should be looked into further must be a bigoted, racist, right-wing radical who is trying to smear the President during an election year. Right?!
